HATTIESBURG, Miss. (MAP) - Round 1 of the Mississippi Baseball All-Stars was completed Sunday Night on MAP Podcast Live Stream with each coach picking their first 5 athletes, known as The Top 10.

The two head coaches, Coach Quavante McGregory of Clarksdale and Coach Chandler Dillard of Ridgeland, each took turns building their all-star roster, a tough decision with so many talented athletes to choose from.

Coach McGregory with the first pick chose Terrell "TJ" Johnson, one of his players from his team at Clarksdale. But as Coach Dillard and Coach Braxton Reed explained on livestream, they would have also chose TJ first overall if they had gotten the first pick.

Coach Dillard with the second overall pick chose Jeremiah Magee, a senior from Mendenhall, MS. He won the MVP at the Magnolia Sports Association All-Stars over the weekend. MSA is a community sports organization that serve to uplift to kids throughout Mississippi with their platform of all-star games and other events.
